Hogg Returns For Scotland

ImageEdinburgh captain Allister Hogg has been recalled for Scotland's RBS 6 Nations match against Wales at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on Saturday and is one of seven Edinburgh players in the squad.

Back rower Hogg has been named amongst the replacements alongside Hugo Southwell and Gavin Kerr while Nick De Luca, Simon Webster and Mike Blair start in the back line.

And Hogg revealed he was champing at the bit to make an impact on the Test stage after missing the opener against France last weekend.

Hogg said: "I am pleased to be involved and hopefully I can get on at some point. I want to prove myself to Frank Hadden and challenge for a starting spot in the next game."

Up front, fans' favourite Allan Jacobsen is set to win his 23rd cap for his country and lines up at the coalface with club-mate, hooker Ross Ford.
