Injured Scotland wing Sean Lamont is still playing his part in the Calcutta Cup excitement this weekend.

Though he won't be in action on the pitch at Murrayfield due to a knee problem which required surgery, the 27-year-old will be experiencing a different heat of battle.

Sean takes part in a Calcutta Cup special edition of the BBC's popular Ready Steady Cook show. It will be screened tomorrow (Friday 7 March) on BBC 2 at 4.30pm.

Sean, who won the last of his 35 caps in the Rugby World Cup quarter-final against Argentina, is up against England scrum-half Peter Richards.

Sean said: "It was the quickest 20 minutes of my life. When they said 'stop cooking' I thought I'd only been in the kitchen for seconds."

Sean cooks in the red kitchen with Gino D'Acampo, while Richards is in the green kitchen with Tony Tobin.

And the winner? You'll have to watch the programme.
