Four teams played in the BUSA knockouts today and by all accounts all battled fiercely and produced spirited displays on behalf of the Scottish Universities.
In the Championship, Glasgow were unfortunate to lose 7-0 due to a dubious penalty try decision for Birmingham.
Dundee were overpowered by an in form Leeds Metropolitan team which includes Scottish winger Mickey Dorrian. The final score in Leeds was 38-0.
A late try from Fiona Majorin led Edinburgh to a 8-6 victory down in Oxford. They go through to play either Brunel or Exeter away in the last eight of the Championship next week.
In the trophy, despite a delayed start, St.Andrew's won a convincing 17-0 against Newcastle and will go through to play Durham away in the quarter finals, also to be played next Wednesday.
Congratulations to all players and clubs competing today. All in all, it was an encouraging day for the future of Scottish Women's Rugby. Next year promises to have even stronger challenges from the Scottish instituitions in BUSA.
