Scotland Women failed to post their first win of the 2008 Women's Six Nations Championship just as Italy recorded their first ever win in the competition.

After the game, Scotland Women head coach, Lee Adamson, said: "I'm massively disappointed not to get the win

_x001C_I suppose now we can only aim to get better."

Scotland's Cara D'Silva was the first to find the score-sheet as she crossed the line after six minutes.

However, it was the powerful Italians who dominated throughout with Jilly McCord having to wait until the 66th minute to get Scotland's second.

But it was the Italians who outplayed the Scots in every department with their ability to convert the high penalty count into points. Their aggressive defence also held firm to keep the Scots at bay.
