Webster Ready For Cardiff Challenge

ImageSimon Webster admits he is looking forward to another huge challenge when Edinburgh lock horns with Cardiff at Murrayfield on Friday evening (28 March, kick off 7.30pm) because he will be going head-to-head with former Lions captain Gareth Thomas.
_
Cardiff are currently one spot below fourth-placed Edinburgh in the Magners League table, but are set to welcome back Grand Slam winner Tom Shanklin into a star-studded back division for the trip to Scotland.
_
But Webster says Edinburgh will be well prepared to deal with Cardiff's big-name performers; especially the danger posed by ex-Wales favourite Thomas.Webster said: "He is a really good player with a massive amount of experience. He doesn't make many mistakes and he is a hard player to play against.
_
"But we will look at how we can handle him and how we can try to implement our game plan against Cardiff."
_
Edinburgh won the previous meeting between the two sides at the Arms Park at the beginning of January.
_
That result took place during a run that has seen Andy Robinson's side chalk up five victories, including last Friday's bonus point triumph over Connacht, from their previous seven Magners League games.
_
And Scotland internationalist Webster believes Edinburgh's young team " with an average age of just 26 " showed how much they had matured during the win in Wales.
_
He added: 'the game at the Arms Park in January was tough because the weather was so bad. There was talk of the match being called off a couple of hours before because there was so much water on the pitch.
_
"But in those conditions I thought we produced a mature performance and we managed the game well. When we did create chances we got points from them, so again we need to keep the scoreboard ticking over. But I"m sure it will be a very different game this time around."
