Following on last weekend's victories over Ulster and the Ospreys respectively Glasgow put Heineken Cup finalists Munster to the sword and Edinburgh eclipsed Llanelli at Stradey Park in their final Magners League fixtures of the season.

At Musgrave Park, Cork, Glasgow ran in three tries through Lome Fa'atau, Dougie Hall and Thom Evans, all converted by Dan Parks, to see off Munster in a game where they were never behind.

Edinburgh, meanwhile, went one better grabbing a try bonus point as Ben Gissing, Andrew Turnbull, Allister Hogg and Mike Blair crossed for their tries having recovered from a 0-7 deficit against Llanelli. The result meant that Edinburgh protected their unbeaten record in Wales in 2008 - a formidable achievement.

Edinburgh thus finish fourth in the league table, denied third on points difference by Munster, with Glasgow in fifth place.
