De Luca And Blair In Dream Team

ImageEdinburgh backs Nick De Luca and Mike Blair have been named in the Magners League Dream Team of the Season " voted for by the fans " and_De Luca_says he is thrilled with the accolade.

After rejoining Edinburgh 12 months ago, De Luca, 24, enjoyed a hugely productive year resulting in his first Scotland cap followed by the prestigious honour of being voted one of the best in the business; something that he says he greatly appreciates.

De Luca said: "It is a really special honour to have been named in the team because it was voted for by rugby supporters. I would like to thank everyone who voted for me and I have enjoyed every minute of my time being back at Edinburgh.

"After recording our best ever finish in the Magners League, everyone is determined to better that achievement next season and it is a really exciting time to be involved with Edinburgh."

Magners League Champions Leinster have provided seven of the team, which is representative of the way in which Leinster have approached the competition. All three Celtic Nations are represented and four players (Ben Blair, Shane Williams, Felipe Contepomi and Jamie Heaslip) have made the Dream Team for the second year running.
