Last Monday, Scottish Rugby and ERC announced that the showpiece finale of professional club rugby in Europe would return to the 67,800 capacity Murrayfield Stadium next year, after first being hosted in the Scottish capital in 2005.

The 2009 final - to be played on the weekend of 23/24 May - is, as expected, proving particularly attractive already to supporters from Ireland, given Munster's victory in this year's Heineken Cup Final against Toulouse in Cardiff last weekend.

Colin Douglas, Scottish Rugby's Ticket Services Manager, said: "Almost one quarter of our purchasers so far have come from Ireland and we're currently averaging around 900 tickets a day, which is a pretty hot pace this far out from the final.

_x001C_Some supporters who're buying at this stage are also making the point that it's a brilliant event in itself and worth coming to, irrespective of who's in the final."

Tickets for the 2009 Heineken Cup Final can be bought from the Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre, Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh. The Ticket Centre is open from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, the same opening hours as the telephone credit card hot line (0131 346 5100). Booking fees apply on credit/debit cards. Tickets can also be bought via our website www.scottishrugby.org or through Ticket Master on 0844 847 2357.

Tickets are also on sale now from Scottish Rugby for Scotland's matches in the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests v New Zealand at Murrayfield on Saturday 8 November; v South Africa at Murrayfield on Saturday 15 November; and v Canada at Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen on Saturday 22 November.
