One of Glasgow's summer signings, Scotland 7s internationalist Calum Forrester, is revelling in his new environment having graduated from Scottish Rugby's National Academy into the ranks at Glasgow.

Although Forrester was part of the Academy squad last year, he has very strong links with the Warriors and can't wait until the start of the new season.

"I"ve been involved with Glasgow for quite a while now because I used to be an apprentice at the club.

"It's been an ambition of mine to become a fulltime professional with Glasgow and I"m delighted I get the opportunity this year.

"Pre-season has been going really well, the fitness team seem to enjoy watching us in pain because they"re working us really hard. It was a kind of blessing in disguise that I started my training early along with a couple of the more experienced guys like Sam Pinder and Hefin O"Hare as well as having another new face, Jon Welsh, there as well. It's made settling into the professional routine much easier.

"It's been a great experience so far but I just want to get into the thick of it now and play some rugby in front of the Glasgow supporters who were phenomenal last season."

Come along and meet Calum at the Glasgow Warriors Fun Day & Touch Rugby Tournament on Sunday 27 July - in partnership with Xscape Braehead.

Taking place at the Warriors" training base at Whitecraigs RFC in Newton Mearns from 12noon until 5pm, the whole Glasgow squad will be there along with the famous Calcutta Cup that Scotland lifted during the RBS 6 Nations Championship.

The Fun Day & Touch Rugby Tournament has lots of fun activities throughout the day including: sports skills sessions, autograph hunts, player photo sessions, juggling workshops and activities from Xscape Braehead.
