The imminent arrival of Thierry Henry's Barcelona in Edinburgh alongside the contingent of European Championship winners, Carles Puyol, Andres Iniesta, and Euro 2008 Player of the Tournament, Xavi Hernandez, the Hibs coach was quick to underline the importance of staging the game at the home of Scottish rugby.

Mixu Paatelainen said: "Barcelona is one of the best teams in the world, with some of the best players in the world, and we are playing in a fantastic venue like Murrayfield, so it is a game that everybody is looking forward to.

_x001C_I had never been to Murrayfield before and was very impressed with the stadium. It is definitely a worthy host for one of best teams in the world.

_x001C_We have the potential to more than double our capacity crowd here which would create a one off atmosphere that I and players are really excited about."
