The 20-year-old Aberdonian told glasgowwarriors.org: "I"ve got a huge challenge in front of me because the man I"ve got to catch is Dan Parks.
_
"It's a fantastic opportunity for me to improve alongside someone like Parksy, he's a great guy and a great player."
_
Jackson captained Scotland U20 at this year's IRB Junior World Championships where Scotland finished in their seeded position of 10th and he hopes his international pedigree will transfer to the senior side in the future.

Image"It was a real honour to captain the 20s at the World Championships._ We had a tough time of it against some of the bigger sides like South Africa and Samoa but we showed our resolve to get a couple of good wins over the USA and Canada.
_
'despite it being another learning curve for me, I feel I came out the Championships a better player and I hope to get the chance over the coming season to feature for the Warriors, especially at Firhill."
_
If Jackson does break into the 1st XV in his first season as a full professional, it won't be his first outing in front of the Glasgow support.

_
"Experiences like that help give you confidence but they also feed your ambition to become a regular in the first team, so it's up to me now to improve and there's no better place for me to do that right now than at Glasgow."
