No Change For French Test

Scotland under-20 head coach Eamon John has named an unchanged team for their 6 Nations tie against France on Friday in Chalon sur Saone (kick-off 7pm local time).

John has opted to stick to the successful starting line-up following the side’s historic victory over Wales, last year’s runners-up, (18-17) at McDiarmid Park, last Friday, and is delighted that the team remains in tact.

He said: “It helps with continuity – we a have a lot of bruised bodies but they can all travel and play which is great news.

He said: “It helps with continuity – we a have a lot of bruised bodies but they can all travel and play which is great news.

“I don’t expect the French to be more physical than the Welsh but it’s an away game and so is a very different environment. France have the ability to play in a number of different ways but they don’t like to be pressured and that’s exactly what we’ll look to do.

“The Welsh game was a magnificent performance. We have to concentrate on the positives from the game and the great experience of victory. I think it sent out a strong message about this team.

“We have a good balance in the team; we kept the ball well and can play with variety which is what you need to be successful in rugby.”
