The abbreviated game has seen some of Scotland’s most exciting young talent come through the ranks in seasons past including Thom and Max Evans, Ben Cairns and John Barclay – and for those of you who saw Scotland’s opening 33-7 defeat of Australia and dramatic, extra-time semi-final victory over Fiji last season know that the current crop is every bit as exciting.

How can you get involved?

How can your club or school benefit?
Participants are asked to attend the full day at Murrayfield on either Saturday 30 May or Sunday 31 May and will have the chance for some game time on the international pitch at Murrayfield and a parade for all teams involved (please only express an interest if you can fulfil this commitment).

To allow clubs and affiliated schools to benefit further from this event, Scottish Rugby is encouraging participants to apply for tickets as a group to receive a £5 donation for every adult ticket purchased in advance. Details of this ticket offer will be sent to you at the same time as the results of the ballot for team places.

Your chance to take part
To register your team’s interest, please contact your regional region's development manager before the deadline of Friday 3 April 2009. A ballot for places will be drawn from all interested teams by Thursday 9 April 2009 and all teams will be notified as to whether or not they have been successful.

If you would like any further information about the event, please contact the tournament Marketing Manager, Zoe Paige on 0131 346 5032 or by e-mail at zoe.paige@sru.org.uk.
