No one can accuse Dundee High president Gerry Tosh of resting on his laurels since taking up the post this summer as the flow of new ideas continues unabated.
Hot on the heels of Pimms on the Green comes Octoberfest, Dundee High’s latest fund raising initiative to help develop community rugby throughout Dundee and Tayside.
In Gerry’s words, “Dundee High Rugby, in conjunction with the Eagles is running a Scottish Real Ale Festival in the Fishermans Tavern in Broughty Ferry on the Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of October 2009.”
The Fish is a popular haunt for club members and was an obvious choice as the venue for what is sure to be another successful alcohol fuelled fund raiser.
Warming to his task as voluntary event promoter and chief recruiter, Gerry said, “Entrance is £5 per day, payable at the door and includes a free pint.
“We also we need beer sponsors so if anyone would like to sponsor a keg for just £100 please let us know.”
There are lots of other sponsorship opportunities available, including a private room for guests, for more details contact Gerry Tosh.
Gerry finished by appealing to all supporters of rugby in Dundee and fans of a decent pint, “This is a first for Dundee High Rugby please put us in your diary and give your support for this groundbreaking fundraising effort.”
Octoberfest opening times will be 5pm to 9pm on the Friday 3rd October and 1pm to 9pm on the Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th.
