The Scotland 7s squad took some time out of training this afternoon to have a look around Dubai and relax ahead of tomorrow’s (Friday 30 November) pool stages in the Emirates Airline Dubai 7s.
For a number of the squad they opted to go up the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. For captain Colin Gregor it was a chance to set his sights on the competition and what the team hopes to achieve.
He said: “The final preparations have been good and everyone is excited to get into the tournament and take-on Kenya first-up.
All three teams we are playing are physical and flamboyant, and are all very good at what they do. But, I believe we're up to the challenge and hope we can get some victories tomorrow.
Scotland 7s take on Kenya (10.12am local time), Fiji (1.36pm local time) and Spain (5pm local time) in the weekend’s Emirates Airline Dubai 7s (in Pool A). Dubai is four hours ahead of the United Kingdom.
