B&R Radio: Cross On Scotland Recall

Black and Red Radio today caught up with Edinburgh Rugby prop Geoff Cross, who has been recalled to the Scotland team for Sunday's RBS Six Nations match with Ireland at Murrayfield.

The tight-head was one of the stand-out performers in Edinburgh Rugby's narrow loss to Cardiff Blues on Friday night, and joins Ross Ford in the front-row, while Greig Laidlaw (scrum-half), Tim Visser (wing) and Matt Scott (inside centre) are all re-selected following the impressive 34-10 win over Italy earlier this month.

He replaces Euan Murray in the starting line-up, having been involved among the replacements in both of the opening matches of the championship.

30-year old Cross, who will win his 19th cap on Sunday, spoke of his delight at being back in the starting line-up, the challenges faced by a formidable Irish front-row, and the challenges he's faced at club level this season.
