Three players require further medical checks

Three players will require further medical assessment when they return to their clubs this week following Scotland’s RBS 6 Nations Championship match against France in Paris last night.

Scotland team doctor James Robson said on the squad’s return to Murrayfield this afternoon that Glasgow Warriors’ duo, winger Sean Maitland (right leg muscle injury) and full-back Stuart Hogg (knee strain) and substitute winger, Castres’ Max Evans (possible mild concussive episode which only became evident after the game), would be in the care of their club medical teams this week.

“As ever soft tissue injuries can take a period of time to settle and for the extent to become clear,” he added.

Maitland retired in the first-half of Saturday night's game and was replaced by Evans.
