Rugby World Cup has confirmed today the venues and dates for Scotland’s pool matches for the 2015 tournament in England.
Scotland will open their campaign at the established rugby citadel of the Kingsholm ground in Gloucester but their remaining matches will be played at the greater capacity football grounds at Elland Road in Leeds and St James’ Park in Newcastle (pictured above).
The first match against the top qualifying side from the Asia group will take place at the 16,500 capacity Kingsholm on Wednesday 23 September.
Next up on Sunday 27 September, Scotland will meet the second-placed side from the Americas qualifying group at the 39,460 capacity Elland Road, the home of Leeds United Football Club in Leeds.
Scotland then move to the north-east and on Saturday 3 October will play South Africa at the 52,387 capacity St James' Park in Newcastle.
Their final pool match, against Samoa, on Saturday 10 October, will also be at St James' Park.
Kick-off times are still to be finalised and the IRB say the ticketing policy will be announced later this year.
