Wigtownshire set for epic 24-hour touch game

Tonight at 7pm Wigtownshire Rugby Club will be kicking off their second annual 24-hour touch rugby tournament at London Road.

24-hour touch rugby at WigtownshireThe marathon event is open to everyone, young or old, male or female and players can join in at any point during the day or night. Participation tonight will be on a donation to play basis for anyone who wishes to join in.

The purpose of the game is to raise funds to support the development of rugby locally at all levels, with the hope that micro (P1-P3), mini (P4-P7), midi (S1-S4), under-18, school and senior male and female players will all benefit.

For those who don’t want to play but still want to be involved there is a guess the try count competition. The person at the end of the 24 hours who’s guess is closest to the number of tries scored will win £50. It costs £2 per guess.
