Leading by example: Skipper ready for RWC7s

Scotland 7s captain Colin Gregor joined the 40 competing skippers from the men's and women's Rugby World Cup 7s in Red Square this afternoon to launch the sixth Rugby World Cup 7s.

He took some time out to meet his group B opponents, Japan, Russia and South Africa and to speak to www.scottishrugby.org about his hopes for this weekend's (28-30 June) tournament, how he has come on as a player since first competing at a Rugby World Cup 7s in Hong Kong in 2005 and how preparations have been going this week.

Scotland 7s open their Rugby World Cup 7s campaign, where they will compete in Group B, against Japan on Friday 28 June at 4.36pm (BST).

They will then complete their group against hosts Russia at 10.02am and then South Africa at 4.16pm on Saturday 29 June (both BST).

The Internationl Rugby Board have announced  that the Rugby World Cup 7s will be broadcast, for the first time, through a free streaming service on their tournament website www.rwcsevens.com across the weekend.
