Ryan Grant named on Lions bench for second Test

Glasgow Warriors prop Ryan Grant is the sole Scottish representative in the British and Irish LionRyan Grants side to play Australia in the second Test on Saturday.

The loosehead specialist takes his place on the replacements bench after Alex Corbisiero was ruled out injured.

Corbisiero’s England teammate Mako Vumnipola is handed the starting job for the Melbourne showdown.

The return of flying Irish winger Tommy Bowe means Sean Maitland drops out altogether, with lock Richie Gray and full back Stuart Hogg again left out of the matchday squad.

Head coach Warren Gatland, whose side leads the three match series 1-0 after a tight 23-21 victory last week, also brings in Dan Lydiate to the pack while Ben Youngs takes the scrum half role.

There will be an exclusive blog from Ryan on glasgowwarriors.org tomorrow as he looks ahead to the match.
