Following the success of the monthly skills night last season, Peebles have re-launched the initiative to help develop the prospective young talent coming through the club.
From first year of high school through to the senior ranks, all players are encouraged to come along to a session held on the first Wednesday of every month.
The goal of these sessions is to develop the skills of all involved, as well as encouraging club integration, easing the flow of the youth, through the sometimes intimidating journey to the senior levels.
For the first event, over 60 players were in attendance, all of whom seemed to enjoy two hours of fun, learning and benefitting from one another, as players and social members of the wider club.
Senior players are in attendance holding specialised clinics – based on playing position – for most of the night, with the session culminating in a mixed touch tournament.
The club is continually looking to develop its youth system and sees this night as integral to that.
