London Scottish is delighted to unveil Caledonia Best, the smooth draught ale from Tennent Caledonian Breweries, as the official beer of the English Championship club.
The landmark two year sponsorship deal with the Scottish brewing giant kicked-off on Saturday (19 October) when Scotland's oldest rugby club Edinburgh Academicals were in town.
As part of the new partnership, Tennent Caledonian Breweries will have their famous brands proudly promoted around the Athletic Ground.
The brewer is also sponsoring the club’s St Andrew's Day Lunch on November 29, a major annual event for Scots in London, as well as the Taste of Scotland award which will recognise the Club player of the year.
Tennent Caledonian Breweries will be part of the rugby club’s 'Best of Scottish' portfolio which helps iconic Scottish brands showcase their products outside Scotland.
London Scottish chief executive Kenny Baillie said: "We are thrilled to announce this fantastic deal and I would like to thank Tennent Caledonian Breweries for joining us as we continue our incredible journey back to the top of English rugby.
"Caledonia Best is the Official Beer of Scottish Rugby and we are delighted to bring the ale south of the border as the Official Beer of London Scottish.”
“Announcing this partnership before our much anticipated British and Irish Cup encounter against Edinburgh Accies seems highly appropriate.”
Paul Condron, Marketing Director at Tennent Caledonian Breweries commented: “We are delighted to extend our association with rugby through this partnership with London Scottish.
“Caledonia Best has been a real success story since launch in October 2011 and our association with Scottish Rugby has played a key role. We look forward to our partnership with London Scottish helping to build on this success over the next two years.”
