The Scotland squad will mingle with the stars of yesteryear when they attend the reception at the Scottish Rugby Hall of Fame gala dinner at Murrayfield next month.
Head coach Scott Johnson will lead the squad to the second induction to the Hall of Fame, which was established three years ago to give rightful recognition to those who have moulded rugby in Scotland over the past 140 years.
Some ten all-time greats will be inducted on Thursday 7 November, joining the 12 who were named at the inaugural induction in 2010.
Scotland back-row forward Kelly Brown (pictured above) said: “As someone privileged to play for Scotland, I’ve always been aware of the players who have worn the thistle in my position in the past.
“Some things may change over the years but there are constants too – not least what it means to represent Scotland.
“I’m looking forward to meeting some of the great players from the past at what I’m sure will be a memorable night.”
Renowned broadcaster Dougie Donnelly will MC the evening, which will include a question and answer session with Scott Johnson, a chat with successful European Ryder Cup captain Sam Torrance and some stunning auction prizes from our charity partner, the Bill McLaren Foundation.
Tickets for the dinner are available now at http://www.scottishrugby.org/tournaments-events/hall-fame-gala-dinner-2013.
You can also join the RBS public vote on this website to determine one induction from five all-time greats: Bill Maclagan, John Bannerman, Douglas Elliot, John Rutherford and Gregor Townsend.
