On Friday, Colin Gregor will pull on the blue and purple of the Scotland 7s jersey for the first time since his side competed in the Rugby World Cup 7s in Moscow in June.
Having recovered from a calf injury, that saw him miss the opening round of the HSBC Sevens World Series, on the Gold Coast in Australia, the team captain, is keen to right some personal wrongs from the World Cup and is hoping he can help improve the teams performance in Australia, in Dubai and South Africa.
Gregor speaks to www.scottishrugby.org:
Scotland 7s have also made a change to their squad for the Dubai and Port Elizabeth 7s over the next fortnight, with Watsonians’ centre Jack Ferguson replacing Joseva Nayacavou.
Scotland 7s squad to compete in the Dubai (29-30 November) and South Africa 7s (7-8 December): Scott Riddell, Chris Dean, Gregor Young, Jack Ferguson (Watsonians), John Houston, Mark Robertson, Alex Glashan, Colin Gregor (captain), James Johnstone, Andrew Turnbull, Lee Jones (Edinburgh Rugby) and Michael Maltman.
Unavailable for selection due to injury: Struan Dewar (knee), Michael Fedo (shoulder), James Fleming (foot), Neil Herron (knee), Colin Shaw (shoulder), Russell Weir (knee) and Lewis Young (shoulder).
