Junior World Cup 2014 draw announced

The draw for the 2014 Junior RWC in New Zealand has been announced.

Scotland under20s are the only Northern Hemisphere team in Pool C being drawn against host nation New Zealand, South Africa and Samoa.

Scotland will face South Africa – commonly known as the Baby Boks - on the opening day of the tournament ( Monday 2 June 2014) at North Harbour Stadium, North Shore (kick-off 3.45pm local time).

Their other pool fixtures are as follows:

Scotland v Samoa, Friday 6 June, Pukekohe Stadium, Pukekohe, kick-off 3.45pm local time

Scotland v New Zealand, Wednesday 10 June, Pukekohe Stadium, Pukekohe, kick-off 7.35pm local time

Unlike the Senior RWC, following the pool matches all sides will play at least another two games in order to be given an overall finishing position for the tournament. No quarter final is in place for this championship with the top four seeds playing a straight semi-final following the pool stages.

Knockout stages of the tournament take place on Sunday 15 June and Friday 20 June.
