Stevie McColl, who was included in the Scotland squad for the 2013 viagogo Autumn Test Series, has been signed by Aviva Premiership side Gloucester for next season.
The full-back, 25, who currently plays for Leeds Carnegie in the IPA Greene King Championship, has made the move following an impressive three seasons at Headingley.
McColl, a product of Dunfermline RFC, has also featured for Scotland 7s and age-grade sides.
Gloucester coach Nigel Davies, said: “Stevie is someone who stands out at Championship level. Leeds are a good team, who play a particularly good brand of rugby and Stevie has been a big part of their success.
“As a result of playing in the Championship, he’s gained a lot of experience and shown his quality.
“I’m very excited about this guy and know he is capable of making the step up to the Premiership and of being a huge success in the process.”
