Edinburgh Rugby received a timely boost ahead of this Friday’s clash with Cardiff Blues at Meggetland (11 April, kick-off 7.45pm) with the contract extension of a Scotland capped, back-three trio.
Dougie Fife, Tom Brown and Jack Cuthbert have all committed their future to the club and will continue to push for places in the wide berths of the backline for the next two seasons.
The players join fellow Scots caps David Denton, Ross Ford, Matt Scott, Alasdair Dickinson, Grant Gilchrist and Greig Tonks - as well as burgeoning talents Sam Hidalgo-Clyne and Sean Kennedy - in extending their club contracts this season, while young Scots Michael Tait (23), Chris Dean (20) and Damien Hoyland (20) are already among this coming summer's new recruits.
Edinburgh Rugby head coach Alan Solomons, said:
Attracting and retaining quality Scottish players is absolutely critical for us, and is central to our vision, so it’s fantastic news for the club that these three have re-signed.
“All of them have played an invaluable role in the progress we have made at the club and it’s terrific to see them commit to Edinburgh Rugby for a further two seasons.
“We have good synergy and spirit in our squad, which is vital to realise our vision and build a sustainable club.”
