Murrayfield is expected to welcome over 1000 wannabe popstars on Sunday 27 April, as auditions for the hit TV talent show X-Factor, arrive at the national stadium, as well as the capital, for the first time .
Producer Simon Cowell, will be joined by singer Cheryl Cole on the judging panel for the day.
The Murrayfield leg of the search is an open audition, meaning all who feel they have what it takes to be the next big thing, just need to turn up on the day and give it their heart and soul, each contestant guaranteed the chance to perform in front of a judging panel.
Scottish Rugby’s Director of Commercial Operations, Communications and Public Affairs, Dominic McKay, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome X-Factor and all the hopeful contestants to the home of Scottish Rugby, Murrayfield.
“The X-Factor logo and branding is synonymous with success, not only as a hit TV show, but as unearthing some of the world’s most successful music superstars.
“Murrayfield is often recognised as a breeding ground for sporting success. Maybe, this time, one of the world’s future stars of the music business will be discovered here.”
Global superstars One-Direction, who will play in-front of a sold-out Murrayfield on Tuesday 3 June, along with other smash-hit talents Olly Murs, JLS, Alexandra Burke and Cher Lloyd were all discovered through the show.
