One of Scotland’s most famous rugby clubs, Howe of Fife, are hosting a number of events during the month of June to raise funds for the construction of a new ‘fit for purpose community sports facility’ in Duffus Park, Cupar.
The events include dinner with former British and Irish Lions Doddie Weir and John Beattie as well as a charity golf tournament on the Duke’s Course at St Andrews.
The Sports Persons’ Dinner begins at 7pm on Saturday 28 June in the Old Course Hotel, St Andrews in the Hall of Champions. After the drinks reception there is a three course dinner with coffee and petit fours (including ½ bottle of wine per person) commencing at 8pm.
The Duke’s Course at St Andrews will play host to a golf tournament beginning on the same day. The entry fee for you and three friends is £480. Howe have spared no expense for your pleasure on the course as the four ball includes: a welcome pack, golf buggy for each team and the use of the driving range. Also full use of the clubhouse including luxury locker rooms, and showering facilities. Halfway refreshments and transport can be provided to and from the hotel for guests. Along with the opportunity to play one of the best courses Scotland has to offer, there are organised contests to make the round more competitive and social. These include a ‘Nearest the Pin’ or ‘The Longest Drive’ which you can sponsor in order to give even further.
If golf isn’t your cup of tea, but you still want to contribute, there is the option to ‘Sponsor a Hole’. Have your corporate banner displayed at the tee off or your logo added to the event catalogue for the golf and dinner. This is a great way to donate and raise publicity for your own business at the same time. Furthermore, the club are inviting offers of auction lots for both the Silent Auction and The Grand Auction to be held at the dinner in the hotel. If you would like to donate something for their appeal you can contact Alison Murray by mobile (07967 742486) or email email@example.com All the proceeds from the day will be directed to the Redevelopment Project Appeal for a new Community Sports Facility in Cupar.
Interested? If so, please send completed forms (below) to: Mrs Alison Murray, 15 Provost Wynd, Cupar, KY15 5HE with a cheque made payable to ‘Howe of Fife RFC’. Alternatively, you can get involved by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss other payment options.
