Coaches' clinic goes on the road

Edinburgh Rugby are upping sticks to deliver a series of club and school coaches' clinics in Dundee, the capital and the Borders during pre-season.

Each evening will kick off with a live and interactive session, where club members can see how the Edinburgh Rugby coaching team operates.

The on-field exercise will then be followed by an open discussion and time for questions with head coach Alan Solomons, assistant coaches Omar Mouneimne and Stevie Scott, and managing director David Davies.

First up is Dundee HSFP tomorrow (Mayfield, Tuesday 1 July), followed by Heriot’s FP (Goldenacre, Tuesday 15 July) and Gala RFC (Netherdale, 6 August), with the Edinburgh Rugby coaching team on site for an evening of hands-on coaching and hands-up questions.

Head coach Alan Solomons, said:

It's important that there’s a good relationship between the pro teams and the clubs in our region and events like this give us an opportunity to reach out and lend a hand of support.

"Our professional coaches can impart their knowledge through the clinics and open the channels of communication between us and the clubs.”

Club and school coaches from around the region are respectfully asked to email [email protected]  to indicate which evening they’d like to attend.
