Glasgow Warriors will face defending champions Leinster at Scotstoun on the opening weekend of the new season.
The weekend dates for the 2014/15 season have been announced today, along with confirmation that Guinness will be the new title sponsor of the competition, which is now called the GUINNESS PRO12.
The Warriors will host defending champions Leinster in a repeat of last season’s final on the weekend of 5/6/7 September.
In rounds two and three Gregor Townsend's squad will travel to Wales to face Cardiff Blues and the Dragons, before hosting Connacht at Scotstoun at the end of September.
Munster are due to visit Glasgow just before Christmas and the Warriors will host Edinburgh Rugby in the first leg of the 1872 Cup on the weekend of 26/27/28 December, with the return leg at BT Murrayfield on the weekend of 2/3/4 January.
Glasgow will play Ulster in the final game of the regular season at Scotstoun on the weekend of 15/16/17 May.
The exact dates and kick-off times, along with details of which games will be televised live, have still to be confirmed.
Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: "We face a big test against the defending champions on the opening weekend of the GUINNESS PRO12.
"It's an exciting start to the season with a repeat of last season's final at Scotstoun.
"We're now into week five of pre-season training and the squad have been working extremely hard.
"We're looking forward to playing Harlequins and London Scottish next month, before the competitive action gets underway again in September."
Dominic McKay, Scottish Rugby’s director of commercial operations, communications and public affairs said: “Scottish Rugby welcomes this new deal with Guinness.
“It’s great news for Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby to have such a strong and iconic brand on board as title sponsor of the PRO12."
McKay, who is also a PRO12 board member and chairman of the commercial committee of the PRO12, added: “Along with the new Sky Sports partnership, this sponsorship deal will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the profile of the league.”
Fourteen matches are included in the 2014/15 season ticket package - 11 Guinness PRO12 league games and three European Rugby Champions Cup matches with Montpellier, Bath and Toulouse all coming to Scotstoun next season in the top tier of European club rugby.
