Glasgow Warriors managing director Nathan Bombrys said: “We’re really excited that our games will be covered live by Sky Sports and BBC ALBA next season.

"Our preference has always been to play games on Friday nights at Scotstoun but we know this isn’t always possible and having Sky Sports on board for the first time is an exciting development, not just for the club but for the league as a whole.

“We’d like to thank our supporters for helping us achieve record season ticket sales, which have almost reached 3,000 and we look forward to welcoming our supporters back to Scotstoun to support the team against Harlequins later this month.”

The Warriors will return to action on Saturday 23 August when they take on Harlequins in a pre-season friendly at Scotstoun Stadium (kick-off 3.30pm). Tickets for this game are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for under-18s, students and senior citizens and are available now from www.glasgowwarriors.org and from the ticket office on 0844 800 3490.
