Edinburgh try scorers across Premiership

Edinburgh’s full time professional and Elite Development Players (EDPs) were in action across the country on Saturday.

A Heriot’s side, with Neil Cochrane and Ben Toolis on the bench, overcame Stirling County at Goldenacre, 42-19, with Toolis [pictured] crossing for the home side. Watch his score here.

Hawick posted their first win of the season in a side featuring Jaoquin Dominguez at centre and Nick McLennan on the bench. The Greens’ 27-26 win over Ayr featured a try from Dominguez.

Meanwhile at Malleny Park, Chris Dean and EDP Alex Glashan started for Edinburgh Accies in their (19-39) defeat to Currie, Glashan posting a conversion of his fellow Scotland under-20 Sam Pecqueur’s try.

Gala, with Ruari Howarth at stand-off and Chris Auld at centre, defeated Glasgow Hawks 29-10, and at the Greenyards, Edinburgh faced Edinburgh in the shape of EDP prop Ewan McQuillin for Melrose against Carl Bezuidenhout at 10, Simon Berghan at prop and Magnus Bradbury at no 8 for Boroughmuir.

The visitors won, 31-26, with Bezuidenhout notching up a penalty, a try and four conversions, and Bradbury a try for the winners.
