Glasgow Hawks appoint new Head Coach

BT Premiership side Glasgow Hawks are pleased to announce Jimmy Sinclair as their Head Coach, following the departure of Jamie Dempsey.

Club President, Chas Afuakwah, said: “We're delighted that Jimmy has agreed to take up the post of Head Coach for the rest of the season.

He knows the squad well and his influence on the team was evident for all to see as they came back from relegation two seasons ago and then reached the Scottish Cup Final, last year.”

Jimmy is well known in Scottish Rugby circles and well respected having coached across a wide spectrum of clubs in the West of the country.

He said: “My focus in the remaining five league games is to help the players have a good final run in the BT Premiership. That, alongside a BT Cup tie against Ayr are the objectives from here until the end of the season.”

Peter Laverie and Finlay Gillies, the former Glasgow Warriors hooker, have also been named as Assistant Coach and Player Coach, respectively.
