Last chance to impress for Scotland under-18 ahead of English encounter

The Scotland under-18 Head Coach, Eddie Pollock, has selected a 26-man squad for the age-group's final training camp, ahead of their first game of the season, against England in two weeks' time.

Scotland under-18 played their English counterparts at Dalziel Park last season This camp will be the last chance for players to stake their selection claim ahead of the match at Kingston Park, home of Newcastle Falcons, on Sunday 8 March (kick-off 5.30pm).

Pollock said:

“This camp will provide us with a clearer picture of the squad that will head down to Newcastle, to compete against England, in one of the warm up games used to select our team for the Rugby Europe Championships in Toulouse.

“The tournament is ultimately what we have in our sights but the game against the England is always a huge challenge at any level and one everyone is looking forward to.”

Prior to the Rugby Europe Championships, Scotland under-18 will also play an Ireland Schools side, in tandem with the Scotland senior side's tie against Ireland, on Saturday 21 March at Mayfield, Dundee (kick-off 11am).
