Scottish Rugby host player welfare roadshow

Scottish Rugby will host a player welfare roadshow this summer to provide club and school representatives with an update on key messaging.

A total of six workshops will feature updates on various areas relating to player welfare, including concussion management, child protection and anti-doping.

Clubs and schools are encouraged to send representatives with responsibilities for player welfare (up to three) to one of the workshops, which will take place at Melrose RFC, Inverness Leisure Centre, Scotstoun Stadium, BT Murrayfield, Stewartry RFC and Perthshire RFC throughout August.

Scottish Rugby's Chief Medical Officer and Scotland Team Doctor, James Robson, said: “Player welfare is a fundamental part of our sport and it is essential that we continue to focus on developing safe coaching principles through regular updates to clubs and schools.”
