Girls’ Club Cup Finals Return to BT Murrayfield

Scottish Rugby Girls’ Club Cup Finals take place on Sunday 5 May at BT Murrayfield. Clubs from across Scotland have competed for a place in the U15 and U18 finals and the afternoon event will showcase some of the game’s best young players. 

For the second year in a row, Stirling County have secured their place in both the U18 and U15 finals and they will be hoping to secure the double. Stirling County’s route the the U18 Cup final saw them sail through the opening rounds before defeating Ayr 32-14 in the semi-final. They will face Biggar, whose 10-36 win over Hillhead Jordanhill in the semis cemented their place in the final.

In the the U18 Shield final, Annan and Cartha Queen’s Park go head-to-head in a repeat of the 2017 line-up. 

Stirling County recorded some impressive scores en route to the U15 Cup final, winning their matches against Highland (51-0), Oban Lorne (0-50) and Cartha Queen’s Park (50-0). Their opponents, Caithness, also turned in a succession of impressive performances to earn their place in the final, taking victory over East Kilbride (5-105), Grampian (22-59) and Hillhead Jordanhill (19-50).

In the U15 Shield final, Highland take on Lismore. In the semis, Highland took a 40-15 win over Biggar, while Lismore booked their place with a 55-0 victory over Annan.

The first games on Girls’ Club Cup Finals Day kick-off at 1pm and entry is free.
