As Scotland 7s prepare for a big weekend of rugby in rounds seven and eight of the World Rugby HSBC Sevens Series, in Hong Kong and Singapore respectively, caught up with veteran

Following Scotland 7s first first foray into the Cup competition, Head Coach Calum MacRae has made two changes to his 12-man squad to compete in the Hong Kong 7s (Friday 8 – Sunday 10 April). 
Scotland 7s enjoyed a successful inaugural Vancouver 7s, as they progressed to Cup quarter-finals for the first time of the 2015/16 World Rugby Sevens Series.
Scotland 7s beat England and Samoa to progress to the USA 7s Bowl semi-final, where a last minute try from the opposition, Wales, put an end to their run in the competition.
James Fleming is the only change to Head Coach Calum MacRae’s Scotland 7s squad to compete in the Las Vegas event this weekend (4-6 March). 
Scotland 7s picked up five World Series points this weekend, after progressing to the Sydney 7s Bowl semi-final, where they were unable to overcome a strong Canada side on day two of competition.
Scotland 7s were unable to repeat their Cape Town 7s Bowl winning feat in Wellington, going down to Samoa in the final after defeats of Portugal and Japan.
Scotland 7s finished third in Pool A in the Wellington leg of the World Rugby HSBE Series, after recording a victory against Russia, but falling to defeats to South Africa and hosts New Zealand.
