Lana Skeldon

Lana Skeldon, who took up rugby at primary school, has played for Scotland at under-16, under-18 and under-20 and was included in the Scotland Women squad for the first time in September 2011 while still aged 17.

She scored her first international try against Italy at the Stadio Plebiscito in Padova.

A former pupil of Hawick High School, Lana played for Gala Girls, winning the Scottish Schools Cup on three occasions - in 2011 she captained her side to victory at under-18 level at Murrayfield. She made her Scotland debut off the bench in the 33-10 victory over the Netherlands in Amsterdam, in November 2011.

Having left school in summer 2011, she continued to be a Modern Apprentice with the Scottish Rugby Community Coach programme in 2011/12 and is currently a 2021 supported player with Scottish Rugby.
