Joseva Nayacavou

Joseva Nayacavou won his first cap for Scotland 7s in the opening round of the 2013/14 HSBC Sevens World Series, on the Gold Coast, Australia, when he was called up as a replacement for injured forward Chris Dean.

He scored his debut try in the Bowl semi-final v Canada in that tournament.

Serving with the 2nd Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland (2 SCOTS) as a soldier, Nayacavou has been given time to train full-time with Scotland 7s.

He first pulled on the abbreviated national team jersey in September 2013 when he played a part in Scotland 7s’ Rugby Europe European Grand Prix Sevens Series campaign in Bucharest, where he scored a try.

Born in Nausori, Fiji, Nayacavou qualifies for Scotland through residency.
