Robbie Fergusson

Former Glasgow Warriors and London Scottish centre Robbie Fergusson was included in a core Scotland 7s squad for the first time in the 2017/18 season. The 24-year old has previously played 13 times for Scotland U20. Fergusson had been playing for amateur club Ayr for a number of seasons, since joining the club's mini-rugby section; progressing through the ranks and making his first-team debut, as a 17-year-old, while still a pupil at Wellington School in his home town. His rugby development was curtailed on being diagnosed with cancer. After chemotherapy treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Fergusson made a return to rugby in October 2014. Fergusson made his senior competitive debut coming off the bench in Glasgow Warriors's opening game against the Scarlets in the PRO12 (2015) before continuing his development with London Scottish. In 2016 this deal was made permanent and Fergusson officially signed for London Scottish, before returning to focus fully on sevens.
