The Performance Development Programme (PDP) is the feeder programme for Scotland Women.

The Performance Development Programme is preparing young players to play in the Scotland Women's team. It is an opportunity for developing players to improve their skills and fitness in a challenging environment with other top players from around the country.

The programme takes a holistic approach to player development, with the focus upon both the player and the person. As well as improving technical and tactical knowledge of the game, the programme focuses on developing high performance behaviours, confident decision makers and autonomous leaders on and off the field.

The programme includes monthly training camps (residential and non-residential) and skills sessions. High quality coaching and Strength & Conditioning support, as well as in-camp medical, analysis and lifestyle guidance, are all support mechanisms that are offered to identified players. The programme is designed to complement player learning and development at club training and matches.

U18 players in the programme have the opportunity to be selected into the Scotland U18 7s team.

Nomination process:

Coaches can nominate players born on or between 31 September 1997 and 1 January 2001 to attend a skills session in the East or West, which take place monthly. At these sessions, players have the opportunity to be selected to attend a camp and into the PDP squad.

Please contact Performance Pathway Manager Sarah Dixon, [email protected], to nominate a player.
