Scotland Women are involved in training camps throughout the season in the lead up to the Women's Six Nations Championship.
Following monthly camps at the start of the 2015/16 season, an extended Scotland Women squad travelled to Valladolid in Spain for a ten-day training camp in November.
The camp received significant funding through Erasmus+, a programme established by the European Commission that allows students and employees to experience cultural and work exchanges throughout Europe, through vocational and educational training.
The camp culminated in a friendly international against Spain, which Scotland Women won 34-10.
A further training weekend in December was followed by a week-long camp in January, after which selection was made for the Six Nations.
The squad, which featured nine of the 16 female BT Sport Scottish Rugby Academy Stage 2 players, had improved performances as they began their journey to closing the gap with other nations.
