Ally Miller

Alastair ‘Ally’ Miller is a three times winner of the Scottish Schools Brewin Dolphin Cup with George Watson’s College – once at under-16 in 2011, a side in which he captained, and twice at under-18 in 2012 and 2013 when he, again, skippered the side.

Currently a BT Sport Scottish Rugby Level 3 Academy player, he has representative honours with Edinburgh at under-16, under-18 and, most recently, has captained the capital’s under-20 side.

He made his first start for Scotland under-20 in the final game of the 2015 Six Nations, packing down at openside flanker in the absence of injured captain, Jamie Ritchie.

Miller was part of the Scotland under-20 squad who recorded the team's highest ever finish at the World Rugby Under-20 Championship in 2015, appearing in four of the five games at lock and back-row.

The back-row was named in John Dalziel's Scotland under-20 squad for the 2016 Six Nations.

Ally has also played for Scotland at under-16 and under-18 levels, and led the under-19 group who took on Australia Schools and Romania in the 2013/2014 season.

Previously of Preston Lodge and Musselburgh rugby clubs, Ally now plays his rugby at Watsonian’s while studying part-time for a degree in Engineering at Heriot-Watt University.
