Blair Kinghorn

Blair Simon Kinghorn, has represented Edinubrgh at under-17, under-18 and under-20 level, and was included in the Scotland under-17 squad last season.

After spending some time training with Edinburgh Rugby's senior squad, prior to representing Scotland under-18 at the 2015 Rugby Europe Championship, it was announced that Blair would join the captial club on a fully professional, two-year deal on his return from the World Rugby Under-20 Championship. 

He made an outstanding with the boot during his first campaign in the Scotland under-20 shirt, kicking 26 points in five games through four conversions and six penalties. 

Kinghorn, who regularly features for Edinburgh Rugby in the Guinness PRO12 and European Challenge Cup, scored his first try for Scotland under-20 in the opening game of the 2016 Six Nations. 

The Edinburgh Academy pupil, and current captain of the school’s 1XV, made a bright start in the Scotland under-18 shirt, scoring a fantastic solo try, two conversions and a penalty in his debut against England, at Kingston Park.

In the following tie, he put in a man-of-the-match performance as his side recorded a 21-13 victory over Ireland Schools at Mayfield, Dundee.

The Scottish Institute of Sport supported athlete was a National Youth League Cup winner with his former club, Currie, at under-16 level.

Kinghorn, a gifted athlete, was formerly a member of Heart of Midlothian FC’s Youth Academy.
