Murray McCallum

Murray McCallum represented Caledonia at under-16, under-17 and under-18 levels, and, most recently Glasgow under-20 as part of the BT Sport Academy fixtures. He also played for Scotland under-18 FIRA AER competition in Poland (2014), and for Scotland under-19 against Australia Schools and in the two tour games away to Romania.

McCallum crossed the line in the dying seconds of the first-half in Scotland under-20's 36-34 victory over Wales, at Netherdale, to claim his first points for the age-grade side, and went on to start at loosehead prop in each of the 2015 Six Nations Championship games.

Sean Lineen named McCallum in the World Rugby Under-20 Championship squad for 2015, and he gained four caps from a possible five, only missing out on selection for the game against Australia.

As he did against Wales in the previous Championship, McCallum crossed the whitewash in the first game of the 2016 Under-20 Six Nations, to contribute towards the side's historic 24-6 win over England at Broadwood Stadium, and added a further try to his personal tally in the following game against Wales.

He was educated at Woodmill HS in Dunfermline before receiving a scholarship to Strathallan School.

Formerly of Dunfermline RFC, Murray now plays for Heriot's in the BT Premiership, and studies for a BSc in Geology and Petroleum Geology at the University of Aberdeen.
