Thomas ‘Tom’ Norman Kent Galbraith, a product of  Kelso Harlequins and Perthshire Colts, now plays his rugby in the BT Premiership for  Melrose and is a BT Sport Scottish Rugby Stage 3 Academy player.

He captained Glenalmond College to Brewin Dolphin Scottish Schools Plate success in 2014, and has skippered Borders under-18 and under-20 squads.

Tom knocked over two conversions, scoring his first points for Scotland under-20, after coming on as a replacement in Scotland's 45-0 victory over Italy in the 2015 Six Nations Championship.

He made his first start for Scotland under-20 in the final game of the 2015 Six Nations in his side's 17-10 defeat of Ireland at Netherdale, and went on to appear in four of his side's five games in the World Rugby Under-20 Championship in Italy that same year.

In order to develop his rugby, Tom went to New Zealand in the summer of 2014 and played for Upper Clutha RFC in the Otago region.

Tom, who currently studies as part of the Rugby Performance Course at Edinburgh College, has played cricket for Scotland at under-15 level.

Sandy Thomson, a former Scotland B and South of Scotland player, is Tom’s step-father.
