Deborah McCormack

Deborah McCormack was involved in the wider Scotland Women 7s squad for two years before earning her first cap in 2016.

She featured in the first and second leg of the 2016 Rugby Europe Women’s Sevens Trophy, which saw Scotland finish third.

McCormack won her first full cap for Scotland Women off the bench in 2014 and has started in every game since, including the two wins against Wales and Italy in the 2017 Women’s Six Nations.

Hailing from Kent, McCormack qualifies through her grandmother from Motherwell.

The former pupil of Fort Pitt GS is a secondary school computer science teacher. She began playing rugby at the age of ten, when her brother began playing for local club, Medway RFC.
