Kirsty McConnell

Former pupil of Lenzie Academy, Kirsty studied sports science at University of Edinburgh and University of Louisville, Kentucky and is now employed as a primary school teacher.

Hailing from a family where everyone played rugby - brother Calum plays in Melbourne and brother Murray, formerly of Glasgow Warriors and Scotland U20, plays for Nottingham. Kirsty's mum played for Hillhead Jordanhill and her dad now coaches the same club.

As a player with Hillhead Jordanhill herself, Kirstywas a member of the side that won the BT Cup in 2015, finalsist again the following year. She's also represented Scotland at age grade in hockey, winning a scholarship in the sport to the university in Kentucky and playing at district level in New Zealand, and has played football for West District.
